How I can help

It can be hard to make that initial appointment with a new counsellor.  You don’t need to know what to say or where to start. Bringing yourself, and whatever is on your mind is all you need to do. We can work out where to next at a pace that works for you.

If you are unsure if I can help, please don’t hesitate to contact me and we can discuss your options.

I can support you with:

  • Anxiety & panic
  • Depression
  • Substance use (Drugs & alcohol)
  • Grief
  • Life changes
  • Relationships
  • Stress
  • Self-harm and/or suicidal thoughts
  • Trauma/PTSD
  • Work related issues

Specialist areas:

  • LGBTIAQ+, Rainbow/Queer relationships and issues
  • Working with adolescents and students in tertiary study
  • Burnout
  • Disordered eating and eating issues

Counselling for Young people & Teens

Counselling doesn’t mean sitting across from someone in a stuffy room (or online) talking about big problems for an hour. It’s just a safe, low-pressure space to talk through school stress, friendship drama, anxiety, or whatever is weighing you down.

There’s no right or wrong way to do it. You set the pace, and we go at whatever speed feels OK for you.

A quick note if you are Under 18:

Wondering if your parents get a full report on everything we talk about? Nope! Our sessions are private and confidential, with just a few normal safety exceptions that we’ll walk through together so you feel completely safe, trusted, and in control.
