I completed my training at Waikato University, graduating in 2008 with a Masters in Counselling with First Class Honours. I have worked with both adults and young people in a variety of settings, such as counselling, teaching and facilitating. I have also mediated Family Court cases and worked as a counsellor with couples. Alongside my counselling and supervision practice, I am the Head of Student Services with a counselling role in a co-educational Secondary School. I have been a fully accredited member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) since 2008, and I adhere to the principles of the NZAC Code of Ethics. I am also committed to on-going training and reading professional literature to supplement my work.
I attend regular supervision, in accordance with the NZAC Code of Ethics. On-going supervision is something that is required of all members of NZAC, for the duration of our counselling careers.
